Food was delicious.. Smoked fishcakes for starter and beer battered fish and chips for main.
Fast forward 6 weeks, went around 7pm. Food was awful. Had garlic mushrooms with rock-hard bread and then went for the aforementioned beer battered fish and chips which wasn't a spot on my previous visit. The chips were hard and tasteless and the fish was very bland.
We were served by the same lovely barmaid on both occasions, which is a shame the food isn't as consistent as the service.
